The history of Landmark Fabrics®
Landmark Fabrics® traces its origins back to 2003, when a team of textile experts in Baoding, northern China, began developing and coating woven interlinings. It soon became clear that delivering consistent, high-quality interlining solutions required full control over the entire textile production process. This insight led to strategic investments in yarn texturizing, weaving, dyeing, finishing and coating. Within a few years, the company had established a fully integrated production facility for woven interlinings.
Operating under the brand Tianma Interlining, the company experienced continuous growth across Asian markets and has ranked among the top three interlining manufacturers in the region since the early 2020s. As its capabilities expanded, Tianma began supplying major fashion brands from Europe and North America. The vertically integrated supply chain enabled the development of customized interlining solutions tailored to the creative and technical needs of international fashion collections. This positioned Tianma as a valued partner in textile innovation and modern garment production. To serve its global customer base more closely, particularly in Europe’s creative and development hubs, the company launched Landmark Fabrics Europe – the international brand of Tianma Interlining. This strategic step marked the beginning of the company’s global expansion.
Today, Landmark Fabrics Europe operates as the group’s European subsidiary based in Abtsteinach, Germany – near Frankfurt and Mannheim in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region. The location includes a state-of-the-art interlining test studio for performance testing and application trials using the full Landmark Fabrics® product range.
Our experienced team of textile and apparel professionals provides tailored recommendations for interlinings, securing tapes, waistband solutions and pocketing fabrics. Every project is backed by detailed test reports – ensuring consistent quality and technical reliability in production worldwide.
Test Studios
At Landmark Fabrics Europe, global support means more than just consulting. Seamless international availability of products and services is a key pillar of our worldwide partnership approach.
To accelerate development close to global production hubs, we operate modern interlining test studios in Germany, Vietnam, China, and Bangladesh. These facilities enable fast and professional on-site fusing tests and fabric evaluations – supporting processing reliability and optimized results throughout the garment manufacturing process.
Combined with our fully integrated textile production and regional warehousing, this global setup ensures short lead times and consistent product availability – wherever fashion is made.
